Playwright is a browser driver. Cofactor is a platform: AI generates the tests for you, every PR gets a full sandboxed environment, a model decides what counts as a real failure, and tests are continuously curated into a regression suite.
No. We have both a CLI and an MCP for agents, but we also have our own chat bot, a Chrome extension, and a beautiful UI for creating tests. Anyone on the team can contribute to the test suite in the way that matches their workflow.
When a PR opens, we boot a hermetic copy of your environment — your services, your database (seeded from a sanitized fixture set), your background workers. The full E2E suite runs against this sandbox in parallel. The sandbox tears down on PR merge.
We have extensive audit logs — videos, the actual steps the agent took, and what it was thinking when it took them. Over time we bake these tests into deterministic sequences that only change if your app changes. Tests are easy to read and review, so you can be confident you're testing the most important parts of your app.
Cloud is the default. Dedicated single-tenant deployments are available on the Enterprise tier. On-prem is supported for orgs with a real reason. Talk to us.
